Every parent knows that finding activities to keep the children busy during the school holidays can be challenging – and expensive.
Working mams and dads have no choice but to spend a big chunk of their wages on childcare.
But parents in the Middlesbrough area are being offered the chance to take advantage of a cut-price holiday club run by supermarket giant Sainsbury’s for just £7.50 per child, per day – including a healthy packed lunch and snacks!
That’s about half what you can expect to pay for similar schemes. But you’ll have to be quick – many dates are already fully booked and the rest are expected to fill quickly.
The Sainsbury’s Active Kids Club takes place at the Acklam Green Centre, Stainsby Road, Middlesbrough, from 9am (registration from 8.45am) to 4pm and is suitable for children aged five to 15. Unfortunately, the next nearest venue is Sunderland.
Activities on offer range from sports to arts and crafts and even circus skills! They will also teach important values including trust and respect.
Staff are insured and have certifications in disability inclusion, emergency first aid and safeguarding and protecting children.
All July clubs are now full but at the time of writing there was availability for most dates from August 9 onwards.
